The Valletta Grand Prix, held over the weekend of 16/17 May 2009, brought together for the first time a good number of Maltese-owned or registered classic cars in a sprint-type event run along the the bastions on the Marsamxetto side.  This selection of photos, taken during practice on Saturday 16 May, shows all the Alfas that took part or featured in some way during the event.  We usually took a sequence of shots of the action, but couldn't decide which ones to choose.  So we are showing them all for your enjoyment.

The Alfa MiTo is the first one imported into Malta and was the subject of an official launch held in Valletta on Thursday 14 May.  Here it is seen being given a run of the course before Saturday practice.

The Brera was an official course car provided by local Alfa Romeo agents UCIM Co Ltd - and does it look the part! (Photos by John Visanich)
